The transmission is a very expensive and an important part of your car. It is very expensive to have repaired. It is wiser to do regular maintenance than having to pay for repairs that are very easy to prevent. This article will teach you how to take care of automatic transmissions.

Your mechanic will always tell you that you need to replace the transmission fluid and the filter every now and then. You have to check the fluid level and condition regularly. Check the transmission fluid is colored red and not dark brown. You already need to replace the fluid and the filter when it is colored brown.

You also need to check on leaks under the car. It is necessary that you fix the leak, if there are any, to be able to prevent damage to the transmission. Make sure to check every now and then for leaks.

There is also a right way to shift gears that will not affect your transmission in a bad way. Make sure that you are shifting gears correctly. Make sure that you shift gears when the car is at a stop. Do not shift from reverse to drive when your car is still moving because this will overstress the transmission clutch and gear.

Make sure that you are not overusing overdrive. Make sure that you use overdrive during normal driving conditions only. There will be instances that the car may run with low revolutions per minute at high speed. This will all depend on the car that you are using. But you have to switch overdrive off if the car is heavier or driving on a high terrain.

So these are the simple ways of taking care of your automatic transmission. Follow those ways if you want to maintain and use your transmission for a long time. Remember you don’t want to pay a very large amount of money, so take care of your transmission.

So take care of any car troubles at San Marcos auto repair. Where we guarantee to get it done right atOceanside auto repair.

It is necessary for your car to undergo regular maintenance, especially on the engine, if you want it to run properly for a long time. It is imperative that you keep a regular scheduled maintenance on your car’s transmission so as to prevent it from experiencing any problems in the future. If you are going to do it by yourself, you need to take note of a few things which you need to add or change. Learn how to do proper car transmission maintenance through the methods provided below.

It doesn’t matter if you are using automatic or manual transmission, for both types of transmission it is imperative that you regularly change the oil together with the filter on the transmission. Your engine’s transmission oil is comparable to the blood of human’s, so it is really necessary to maintain it on a regular basis. You can basically do this within a few minutes.

First, remove the old oil by loosening the drain plug located underneath your car. You need to utilize a socket wrench in order for you to unscrew the plug so that the oil may drain properly. Afterwards, replace the drain plug on the oil pan.

Then, remove the old oil filter using an oil filter wrench. The oil filter is very distinguishable, because it looks like a black cylinder usually besides the engine located inside the hood of your vehicle. When you find it, coat the new oil filter gasket with a little amount of oil so the ring will not get stuck to the mount. Afterwards, you can then place the new filter on the mount and ensure that you have screwed it tightly and ensuring as well that it will not go loose. You can then proceed to adding your preferred oil on to the engine by removing the oil filler cap and pouring the oil directly into the hole.

And lastly, add specialized products to your transmission oil. Provisioning these products is very good for your transmission and it will extend the life of your transmission. You can also purchase and install a transmission cooler which will prevent your oil from heating too much and keeping it at the optimum temperature. You do this basically to make sure that your car’s transmission will be prevented from heating up too much and being damaged quickly.

These tips are really simple when it comes to making sure that you are doing proper maintenance on your transmission. You need to do this regularly so you can use car for a long time without having problems on the transmission. Otherwise, you will encounter problems which will lead you to spend more time and money getting your car fixed.

One of the things you can do to keep your car in good shape is to regularly change its oils.It can be hard to believe that a simple task like this can be beneficial to the car but it is.  In my Escondido auto repair shop I have seen how cars that do regular oil changes last longer. It just makes sense because oil is one important part of making the car run.  If you keep it well oiled it will naturally last longer.

Another thing you can do to make your car last longer is to do regular tune ups.  Tune ups are an overlooked part of your car that you must do.  I recommend all my clients of my Carlsbad auto repair shop to at least do it once a year. Mainly because when you do a tune up you get to really look into the whole car and make sure it has everything it needs.

Last tip you should take in mind is to drive gently.A car is not a cheap investment so you might as well go easy on your driving. If you don’t drive well then it will affect the longevity of your car.But it does not hurt your car when you drive easy.  It is simple advice but it is advice I give all my clients of my San Marcos transmission repair shop.  If they treat their car right their car will treat them right by lasting a long time.

One thing is certain about cars in our society, we need them. Many peope in many places can’t really endure living without a car. Sure there are buses but it makes it hard especially in this busy life.Since cars are very important in our lives it makes sense to know the basics on how to take good care of them.So we are going to examine to major parts of our car that requires regular maintenance.

The first very important part of a car is the engine. This is like the heart of a car.  If you don’t take care of this part of your car it will die. So in my Escondido auto repair service I make sure my customers know how important this part is.  But it is also easy to take care of. If a person were to just do regular tune ups and change the oil they will keep their car in good shape.

The transmission is the next important part of the car. This is very critical in enabling you to drive your car. Any use of your car ceases if your transmission breaks down.  In my Carlsbad auto repair shop I see so many broken down transmissions. Most of the failures could have been avoided. The main way to do that is to ensure the supply of enough fluids at all times. And to make sure to gently change gears and doing such always at a complete stop.

As you can notice taking good care of your car’s transmission and engine isn’t that hard. All it takes is a commitment to ensure to take care for that specific part of your car.I tell all my clients of my shop that doing a little maintenance today will enable them to save a large amount of money in the future. They end up having cars that last a long time without any problems those who are willing to do that.  Those that don’t end up with cars they have to bring in all the time with problems.

Why do auto problems appear when it is cold

There are a lot of changes as we go from summer into winter.  Obviously the weather changes. But do you know that our cars are affected also by weather change? It appears that auto problems are more prevalent during the winter season. If you live in a place where the weather is usually harsh then your car can really break down.In this article we would be talking about how weather can affect your car’s performance.

In my Escondido auto repair service the biggest cold weather problem are dead batteries. The reason for this is because when it is cold your battery has more work to do.And that would result to it running harder.  Your headlights are usually running longer with the shorter days.  Plus the heater takes more energy than an air conditioner.  So the best thing to do is to make sure your battery is in good condition going into a harsh winter.

Next problem that happens in the cold weather are frozen fuel lines.  This isn’t a big auto problem for my Carlsbad auto repair service.  But this is a big problem in cold weather cities.Condensation starts when you are low on fuel. And it would freeze when the weather is cold and would stop the fuel from flowing. So to prevent it from happening then you must not let your car run low on fuel.

Tire pressure is another one of those problems when it is cold.Pressure can be lost on tires if the weather is cold. This is not good because it can affect the tires thickness.  Bald tires won’t do well on icy conditions.  So this is a serious problem. So always check your tire pressure.

So those are some of the most common auto problems during cold season.  If you do those tips you can avoid some of them. And if the weather is very cold you do not want to encounter those problems.

Your car needs regular maintenance as you may know by now. What’s good is that the small amount of money that you will spend on maintenance will save you a lot in the long run.  I see it all the time in my San Marcos auto repair shop.My clients who regularly bring their cars in for regular maintenance encounter a lot less major repairs as compared to those who do not.  So by spending money now for auto maintenance you save in the long run.

Some things I always suggest for my customers of my Carlsbad auto repair shop is to do regular oil changes. This simple maintenance thing would greatly benefit your car.Changing oils regularly would maintain the smooth running of your car.It can make your engine last longer also.  The funny thing is how inexpensive it is to do an oil change.  If you own a car you should always do oil changes for your car.

A common occurrence for most people in this economy is the need to save money. Most people are looking for ways to try and save money. One method most people don’t consider is spending money on auto repair expenses.People in general look at it as expense.Instead they should understand it as investment.Because if they did take the time to put some money into caring for the car it will save them in the long run.Another thing is their cars are going to save them money and last longer.  They could keep their car longer instead of buying a new one.

So here are some pieces of advise in regards to auto repair expenses.  In my San Marcos auto repair service I always advise my clients to do regular tuneups.  If they take the time to change out the sparkplugs and check all the fluids it will help.It will help your car’s engine to run much smoother.Another thing it is going to cause it to run for a longer period of time.

Another piece of advise I give my clients of my Carlsbad transmission repair service shop is to take care of their transmission. The transmission is a very costly in terms of trying to repair it.  Plus it is a part of the car that is easily damaged. So the top way to make sure you care for your transmission is to go easy on it while you drive.Don’t try to change the gears while the car is still moving.Another thing you want to be sure of is that their is enough transmission fluid.A transmission that is damaged could end up costing someone thousands of dollars in auto repair costs. The thing that will work the best for you to do is to care for it now.

So those are a couple of things you can do to have your car last longer. As it was mentioned earlier in the long run you will spend more money.Because if you do, in the long run you will be saving money.  It has been proven time after time with my clients of my Carlsbad auto repair service shop.Just like most things in life it is going to cost more when you fix it instead of if you prevented it from breaking.

One of the things people fail to realize with their cars is maintenance. They do not realize that this simple task can let them save a lot on auto repairs. And it will also enable them to avoid consuming time on repairs.  Because bringing a car in for maintenance takes a lot less time then when it is in for a repair. So what can one do to avoid shelling extra money on auto repairs?

Well, tuning up your car regularly is the first thing that you can do. This is a very easy procedure to do.But it is a procedure that will lengthen the longevity of your car.  In my San Marcos auto repair shop I always encourage my clients to bring their car in for tune ups.It isn’t because I want them to spend more money and make my business richer. But for them to save a lot of money on repairs.

Another thing I always tell and encourage car owners is that they change the oils of their cars regularly. This simple procedure will go a long way.  It will help their engine run smooth and last longer.Compare the oil to your blood. It won’t survive just like a person that is losing a lot of blood.A car with low oil levels can damage its engine severely.  I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Carlsbad auto repair shop. And it was all due to low oil levels. So be mindful of your car and change its oil regularly.

Finally I always tell my clients to watch out for their transmission. The transmission is a part of a car that is expensive to replace just like the engine. But making it last is an easy thing to do. You just need to take care of it regularly.  In my transmission repair shop I always tell my clients to check their transmission fluid.Letting the levels go so low can ruin their transmission.

So there you have it.If you abide by these simple tasks then you will save a lot of money on auto repairs.Plus your car can last for a long time.

Car problems are something every one experiences. The brand of the car that you own does not matter.Cars are just made to last for a certain period of time and they will eventually start having problems. But there are some ways you can prevent or delay this from happening.Or if you can’t avoid them then at least you can lessen some of the problems.

First problem we are going to talk about is brought about by low levels of oil in your car. This should not really be a problem.  But what people don’t realize is that cars burn oil.Since it consumes oil it will run out if you don’t check and refill it.  That is one of my biggest pieces of advice for my San Marcos auto repair company.  Make sure to always check your oil.If the oil is running low then fill your car up.It will enable you to prevent those engine damages caused by running on low oil.

Another common problem that people always bring to my Carlsbad auto repair shop is check engine light problems. When the check engine light comes on it is usually a sign of some emmission problem. But do not get too nervous about this. It’s not something that can be a cause for major problems. You just have to look at your car manual first to know what the problem is exactly about .You may want a mechanic to have a look at it later but do not worry about it too much.

Finally, clicking noises is another problem that car owners complain about their cars. This is usually caused by a piece of rock or debris in the tires. You can just take some time off and go take a look at your tires. When you find some rocks or debris then you can just use some stick or pen to remove it.  It is nothing major that can hurt your car.  It is just one of those things that sounds like something is wrong. And it can also be annoying.  But in the long run it isn’t something bad.

So, there you have some of the most common problems with your car.  Hopefully it will help you not get too excited next time you have one of those problems.

How to avoid transmission problems

One of the most important parts of your car is your transmission. Not only is it one of the most important it is also one of the most expensive.  If you have to get it repaired it is very costly. That is the reason why you have to take care of it.  If you don’t it can cost you a lot of money. So here are some of the ways to better take care of your car’s transmission.

One minor thing that is often overlooked but a major cause of transmission problems is the fluid.  Not having enough transmission fluid causes so much damage that I see it happen all the time in my Escondido auto repair shop. What’s worse is it could have been avoided.  All a person has to do is to make sure to always check fluid levels.  If it gets low go ahead and add some more.It is easy to do and can also save you a lot of money.

Second thing you want to do is make sure to not shift gears while moving. You would be surprised at the number of cars that come in damaged in my Oceanside transmission repair shop from this problem alone.Do not be too impatient and hot headed that you would shift gears while moving. That would be another very easy thing to do. But when you fail to do it, you damage your transmission little by little.

Finally, do not let your transmission overheat. An overheated transmission will be damaged more easily.  I always advise my Oceanside auto repair clients to make sure to add a coolant type of additive to their fluid.  This helps the transmission run cooler.

If a person abides by these tips then his/her car’s transmission will have the ability to last longer.Being unable to do so will hurt them financially in the long run.  With these things being so easy to do it shouldn’t be a problem.
